4. Accessibility is a vital community responsibility
My character on Covert Affairs is a whiz on a computer — he manages operatives in the field, analyzes data, and hacks bad guys' hard drives simultaneously. What we don’t show, and what many people don't realize, is that he'd have a hard time using the same internet us sighted folk take for granted.
Since so many websites are inaccessible to the blind, those with disabilities find it harder to engage and participate fully in society. Blind people deserve to internet binge-shop just the same as the rest of us, so staying aware of their accessibility is really important.
