Air Apparent

Kirill Rudenko's stratospheric souvenir is a total gas

Remember that scene in Spaceballs when President Skroob sucks down his tallboy of Perri-Air?

Well, Czech photographer Kirill Rudenko is making that a reality by selling Canned Air — yup, just air — from New York, Paris, Prague, and Singapore through his Etsy shop.

Ludicrous Speed: GO.

Back in the '60s, provocateur artist Piero Manzoni did something similar, if more aromatic and far more expensive — but this go-round, Rudenko's canned memento will only set you back $10.

New York's can is all Manhattan air, made up of 20% Empire State Building and 20% Statue of Liberty, and the rest a mix of well-known 'hoods. Rudenko does caution, however, that cans "may contain traces of Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens or Staten Island."

Which means top notes of hot summer garbage, we think.

And buyers of Singaporean air are warned not to open their cans in public places: "The offence carries a punishment of imprisonment for a term which may extend to 6 months, or with a fine extend to $25,500, or with both."

Oh, Singapore.
