Lion's Lair

This African game reserve brings swag to safaris

The African safari ain't just for nerdy expeditioners anymore.

No, that goofy bucket hat and canvas tent won't be necessary. At the Lion Sands Game Reserve in South Africa, all you'll need to pack is your swagger.
This luxury wildlife resort sits on the Sabie riverfront and takes up 10,000 acres of bush where you’ll see lions and rhinos and leopards all up close and personal.
You’ll have your pick of lavish lodges to nod off in, but Ivory is the reserve’s most exclusive. Secluded suites overlook the river and come complete with indoor and outdoor showers, fireplaces and private plunge pools.
And if you want something wilder, spend a night in one of the pimped-out treehouses. Head out before sunset, cross a drawbridge and arrive at the 645 square-foot Kingston treehouse. There, you’ll indulge in a champagne-heavy dinner while taking in the blazing African sunset.

Order up a scalp massage to leave you nice and relaxed before bed.
Just keep an eye out for the roaming bushbabies.
