Dark Arts

It’s DIY Month in Healdsburg

In the immortal words of The Godfather’s Don Corleone, “(We’re) gonna make you an offer you can’t refuse.”

Well not us, exactly, but Healdsburg. The town is celebrating DIY month with some very special offers.

Try the “Tasting in the Dark” Winemaker’s Lab at Francis Ford Coppola Winery. You’ll be blindfolded while you explore how aromas in wine are accentuated by simply turning off the lights.

Other tempting workshops include a two-day cheese-making workshop with Relish Culinary Adventures, or a "Garden to Glass" cocktail class at H2Hotel. Pretty much ensuring you become the Bear Grylls of survivalist palettes and resourceful dining.

Step 1: Book a reservation
Book directly with any of the
venues or make an overnight reservation with one of six participating hotels: Camellia Inn, Haydon Street Inn, Healdsburg River Retreat, Honor Mansion, Hotel Healdsburg, and 1901 Vintage Towers

Step 2: Request a DIY experience
When making your reservation, specify that you’re interested in a DIY experience. You will be given a $50 credit toward any of them.

Step 3: Ask Jeeves
The hotel’s concierge can help book a reservation in advance. And ta-da, your custom DIY experience awaits you.

Booked? Already? Your industrious nature is off to a running start.
