Move over Crab Lab and Shrimp Shack, there’s a new food truck in the fast lane.
It’s called Lobsta Truck.
Inspired by a road trip through Maine’s most famous lobster shacks, the truck's founder Justin Mi set his wheels first in LA, where the taco trucks never saw him coming.
After creating a feeding frenzy with crustacean-packed rolls, Mi's truck has now made a commute north to deliver two signature items to San Francisco's faithful: the Lobsta Roll and the Crab Roll.
The former's made with generous portions of fresh North Atlantic lobster flown in daily from Boston and served on a toasted split roll with drawn butter or seasoned mayo.
And as a makegood for bypassing SF for LA in the first place, Mi's truck unveiled an exclusive menu item just for us: a satisfying platter of perfectly-fried fish and chips.
And the clam chowder and lobster bisque made the trip, too. As did the whoopie pies.
Otherwise, what's your lunch date with the shellfish allergy gonna eat?
