Dream Team

SF Chefs' Earth and Sea Dinner brings out nothing but headliners

This Halloween, you saw Miley Cyrus lookalikes bumping and grinding with every member of the Avengers.

Now replace that costumed glory with glorious chefs serving platefuls of world-class cuisine. But keep the bumping and grinding. And a few of the Miley lookalikes.

Visualizing something wondrous yet?

Good. That's what Bourbon Steak's heavyweight chef Omri Aflalo wanted when he decided to assemble the greatest chefs in San Francisco for the SF Chefs' Earth and Sea Dinner.

The roster of foodie superheroes is as mighty as it is diverse; led by caped locally-sourced crusader Brett Cooper of Outerlands, Absinthe's dark and mysterious pastry chef Bill Corbett, and Rich Table's culinary X-ray visionary Evan Rich.

You've never had surf-and-turf quite like this, from beef tartare with Mendocino uni to slow-cooked yellow tail with chicken skin and jus.

A portion of the night's proceeds benefits the Golden Gate Restaurant Scholarship Fund.

See? Heroic.
