Tour de Taps

Bikes and brews at Marin’s Biketoberfest

Full_biketoberfest

Time for a little word association.

When we say bikes you think helmets, elbow pads, reflective nipple tape...

Now pause, think again. Swap safety first for suds first. Now when we say bikes, we want your answer to be:

Beer.

Specifically tomorrow's Biketoberfest in Marin, a day of craft brews, stellar eats, and all manner of live music.

More than 70 bike exhibitors will be in attendance, showing off their wares with booths, tents, and interactive displays. But there will also be 20 breweries on-hand from up and down the coast, including 21st Amendment, Ninkasi, and Lagunitas, plus lots of smaller favorites like Half Moon Bay’s Mavericks and Broken Drum out of San Rafael.

No responsible festival of suds would overlook snacks, so between pours you can sample fare from Venga Paella and Three Twins Ice Cream. Also some place called Ultimate Souvlaki, which you’ll probably want to try out right away.

They don’t issue DBAs with that level of confidence to just anybody.
