Tuff Love

Laid-back fuzz rockers King Tuff crash Slim’s

Sorry, but festival season is done. It's pumpkin-spiced latte season now.

Reclaim concert glory with the rocking chillitude and garage pop of King Tuff, taking the stage at Slim’s on Wednesday, October 16th.
You might have heard the name before — The Shins’ label Sub Pop recently released their self-titled sophomore album. If you haven’t, think 1970’s glam innovators T. Rex (frontman Kyle Thomas is a dead ringer for Marc Bolan’s ethereal, far-out vocals) mixed with a healthy dose of Pacific Northwest indie traditionalism.

Pretty much can’t go wrong.
The show also features left-of-the-dial darlings Wavves, whose trippy lo-fi surf punk calls to mind the more adventurous psychedelic acts of the late 60’s (Love, and Donovan at his more aggressive).

It's like a one-night time machine back to a more blissed-out era.

When the predominant scent wasn't pumpkin spice.
