To New Beginnings

Meet your new first date go-to, 1760

Full_1760

Tinder. Match. BART.

Who cares how you met her. Now you've gotta plan the first date. And you've already exhausted our list.

The team behind Aquarello has the perfect new venue: 1760, a gem of a date spot now open on Polk Street.

The vibe is laid back with café-style tables and a creative cocktail menu. Our pick for the first drink to take the edge off: The 1760 cumin-spiced gin-mezcal concoction which is near-impossible to stop sipping.

From there, the shareable plates are all priced less than $20. So, yeah, you'll have the delicate and artfully presented sliced hamachi with pluots, and the Thai-influenced SRF beef tartare, and of course, the fried duck sandwich, which — topped with pickles and spicy aoli — is essentially a fancypants In-N-Out burger.

In fact, you'll have two of those, one for each of you.

Because there is such a thing as oversharing. Especially on a first date.
