Apartments in SF are small. Maybe not New York small, but still tiny enough that your out-of-town pals can complicate things when they ask for a couch.
We recommend urging them to book a room at Hotel Zetta instead, now grandly open on 5th street downtown.
This new hotel from the Viceroy Group brings you two huge positives:
1) You will not arrive home from work to discover him sitting spread-eagle in his boxers on your couch, covered in a dusting of Doritos crumbs.
2) You've got an excuse to check out S+R Lounge, the sleek new hotel bar from the team behind Park Tavern.
The bar menu is still taking shape, but that doesn't mean you can't grab a brew to sip while you destroy him at classic NES games via the Wii U system in the adjoining game lounge. Also pretty awesome: the massive Plinko game a la The Price is Right. (We'll forgive you for beginning your tourney by shouting Come on down!)
Don't be weirded-out when he insists on showing you his room before you head out for the evening — the combo of masculine wood panels and pintucked leathers makes it worth a quick tour.
Yes, you are both much more comfortable this way.
