Golden Great

Music and munchies, gratis, in Golden Gate Park

Outside Lands. The Guinness Oyster & Music Festival. Golden Gate Park is going off with music and food fests this summer.

Add one more to your concert calendar: Cultivate.

Block off the whole day, 'cause Cultivate's bringing eight hours of snacks and tunes to Golden Gate Park this Saturday, starting at 11a.

Don't be fooled by the corporate sponsorship. Chipotle may have put up the bucks for this bad boy, but with demos from the chefs behind Rich Table and food from 4505 Meats and El Porteno Empanadas, this free (yes, we said free) fest feels closer to Market Street than Madison Avenue.

Witness Speakeasy's only-available-at-Cultivate Farmhouse Ale, a truly great craft brew that somehow melds the body of an IPA with the lightness of a Pilsner. Or, for those who don't speak beergeek, you'll be able to drink six of them without feeling stuffed — and you'll enjoy doing it.

Meaning you'll be feeling pretty well-lubed by the time you're ready to catch Walk the Moon on the main stage.

Resist the urge to seranade the cute girl standing next to you with a post-beer-tent rendition of Anna Sun. She'd rather you just buy her another beer.
