Opening Yay

Three new ways to celebrate Opening Day

Full_openingday

We've all resorted to scaling the railing and dropping onto someone's boat to get into Sam's on Opening Day.

Thing is, everyone's watching, and we don't feel like taking an unintentional dunk in the Bay. Instead, let's all get there early this Sunday, or simply try something new this year.

Picnic At The Presidio
Off the Grid's boozy Sunday picnic is back, marrying maritime action with blanketside bloodies and Del Popolo pizza. No judgement if you need to nap in the grass before walking home.
Sun 11a-4p Main Post, Anza Ave, Presidio

Off-Menu Amazingness At Comstock Saloon
The Chinatown saloon won't be adding the America's Cup to their official menu until the races begin in July. But you'll welcome this gingery bourbon, gin, and citrus concoction immediately. Too bad it doesn't come in pitcher form.
155 Columbus Ave., Chinatown (415-617-0071)

$20 Prix Fixe Lunch At A16
Enjoy a post-boat-parade (or post-race) lunchtime prix fixe at A16. A 20-spot buys you three courses of seasonal Southern Italian including burratta on crostini and pork meatballs.
2355 Chestnut St., The Marina (415-771-2216)
