We Are the Champions

Three ways to celebrate the Giants' return to AT&T Park

The wait is over.

Today, SF celebrates the World Champion Giants' return to AT&T Park. (And nine more seasons of Buster Posey. Woot!) Here's the rundown on the festivities.

Commemorative Cocktails at Rye
The mixology mecca is mixing three Giants-themed cocktails through Sunday. Our pick: the Wild Turkey 101-based Take Me Out To The Ballgame (pictured). Inspired by peanuts and crackerjacks (and topped with a dusting of the latter), this boozy riff on ballpark snacks will make you want to stand up and sing. No guarantee it'll be in key, though.
Available thru Sun. 688 Geary St., The Tenderloin (415-474-4448)

Pop-Up Bake Sale Outside Waterbar
Swing by on your way to the stadium to pick up your choice of five Giants-themed sweet treats. Grab a bag full of Bochy's Peanut Popcorn Clusters, or Matt's Bourbon Old Fashioned Pitcherdoodle—an Old-Fashioned-inspired take on a snickerdoodle. And don't worry, you don't have to eat it all before you scan your ticket. AT&T Park has a little-known rule allowing outside food (but not booze) into the stadium.
Today 11a-3p. 399 The Embarcadero, SoMa (415-284-9922)

Momo's Makeover
The across-from-the-ballpark mainstay has gotten a major facelift in time for its 15th anniversary. But the most important changes have nothing to do with the fresh paint and new furnishings. The added heat lamps on the re-landscaped patio area, Benedict bar, and house-smoked babyback ribs will have a far bigger impact on your trip to AT&T Park.
