No matter how you shake it, your pisco sour just won't pour out like the frothy perfection being served behind Beretta's bar.
It doesn't have to be that way.
Combat sub-par mixology skills by signing up for Beretta's cocktail classes, starting Monday, November 5.
The Mission restaurant's legendary bartenders are launching a new series of four intimate seminars. Held in the private dining room, each one gives you two hours of hands-on quality time with an expert mixologist getting schooled in a specific spirit (rye, Amaro, bitters and digestifs, pisco, and mescal).
And let's not overlook the fact that the $85 entry fee includes three cocktails and snacks (in the form of margherita burrata pizza).
In the end, you'll leave Beretta full and slightly tipsy (as usual), having padded your social resume with the distinction of Cocktail Party Host Of The Year.
Because all that liquor you've been buying is expensive. And it shouldn't go to waste.
Beretta Cocktail Classes
November 5 - January 21
1199 Valencia St. (at 23rd), The Mission
Reserve: $85 here. And do it soon; there are only 25 spots in each class.
The experts: Beretta's mixologists are as well-versed in the history of the cocktail as they are in the making of it. So don't be afraid to ask plenty of questions.
Tools of the trade: Tools you use in class are available for an additional $55 should your newfound knowledge result in the realization that your bar kit is woefully inadequate.
