Best New Chowder: Ballard Annex Oyster House
As befits our port status, Seattle saw a number of new world-class seafood restaurants open in 2013. Ballard Annex Oyster House, in the old Thaiku space, boasts tanks full of fresh, live lobster and Dungeness crab, but their biggest draws are the three steam kettles behind the bar, which keep awesome geoduck chowder piping hot all day.
