Frosty Mugs

The Seattle Winter Beer Festival is waiting for you

Full_beer

What's better than a cold glass of beer? A couple hundred cold glasses of beer.

The annual Winter Beer Festival is in a new spot this year: the cavernous Hangar 30 at Magnuson Park. And they're set to fill it to capacity.

A record-setting 50 breweries are taking part, with over 150 drafts on offer.

Your admission gets you a tasting cup and tokens for five 5oz servings of whatever you want. Additional tastings are just a buck-fifty.

Some of the best insider picks include the Mexican hot chocolate porter from Der Blokken, Dick's Double Danger from Centralia's Dick's Brewing, and Fremont Brewing's barrel-aged Bourbon Abominable.

If you get hungry, trucks from Fish Basket, Streetzeria, Gobble to Go, and Taylor Shellfish will be serving up food to give you some ballast.

With three sessions, you've got the opportunity for some serious beerage here.

After all, hydration is important.
