food truck, has finally opened Roux
, his hotly anticipated brick-and-mortar location for spectacular French-Creole food to keep you warm all winter long.
While the doors were supposed to open back in August, good French-Creole food takes time. Thus, the time has come for bone-in pork belly "ribs" with root beer BBQ sauce. Oh, and shrimp & grits.
Oh, and out-of-this-world gnocchi served in a crab mustard emulsion with truffles shaved over the top.
If you're feeling comfortably safe because this used to be the Buckaroo Tavern, then get adventurous with your proteins and go for the sautéed frog legs, or the fried chicken gizzards with Creole honey mustard. We guarantee they'll become your new favorite bar snack.
Speaking of that bar, the cocktail selection is solid thanks to direction from former Tavern Law barman Ian Cargill.
