Winter Is Coming

The Seattle Ski & Snowboard Show is ready to carve powder

The only thing that makes these dismal autumn days tolerable is knowing that ski season's coming.

While it's a matter of weeks before slopes open up, now's the time to gear up, and there's only one place to do it.

For 44 years, the Seattle Ski and Snowboard Expo has been the absolute best place to get everything you need to hit the slopes. This year's show features over 125 exhibitors and sponsors, making it one of the biggest ever.

All of the area's mountains will be in attendance, and your attendance instantly earns you a free lift ticket from Crystal, Mission Ridge, Stevens, White Pass, or Snoqualmie.

Then go hunting for insane bargains on boards and skis in the marketplace, as well as the latest gear from Helly Hansen, Sturtevant's and Zumiez.

If you feel like you need to brush up on your skills, take a free practice run on the massive 60-foot ramp while you get pointers from pros.

Sure, do it in your new gear. Never know when you'll meet this season's ski bunny.
