Hard Light

Major Lazer beams down to Showbox

It's been a minute since you've been on spring break. But tonight, you can reclaim that glory.

Superproducer Diplo's (Beyonce, Usher, M.I.A.) floor-rumbling solo project, Major Lazer, mixes dancehall, dub, and electro to powerful effect. And tonight they roll into SoDo.

Their newest album, Free The Universe, drops next month and features guest spots from Wyclef Jean, Bruno Mars, and Vampire Weekend. The first track, "Jah No Partial," features dubstep producer Flux Pavilion.

Reports from other shows on the tour promise epic DJ battles, Harlem Shakes, and shirt-removing commands from stage that must be obeyed.

Diplo has been known to crowd-surf in a giant plastic ball while his partners Jillionaire and Walshy Fire, hold down the beats from onstage.

It's basically your entire Spring Break condensed into one night.

We know you can handle it.
