Bicycles & craft beer go together like drunk & disorderly.
Luckily, the latter are in short supply at Ballard’s laid-back Peddler Brewing Company, a new bike-themed space just two blocks from the Burke-Gilman Trail.
Started by a young couple, the nights-and-weekends microbrewery was funded by Kickstarter and built with some serious DIY skills.
The cyclophiliac décor at Peddler includes handlebar faucets, gears embedded in the concrete counter, and a bike mosaic made from pennies.
Ride in and hang your bike on the indoor rack, or wheel up to the workstation where you can do tune-ups, pump your tires, and fix flats.
As for the beer? Peddler has a seven-barrel system, which means up to 14 kegs per batch. The eight taps will feature a few regulars and a couple of rotating seasonal offerings. They even offer growlers to go.
Disclaimer: BUI isn't illegal in Seattle, but riding while blitzed is still not recommended.
