Of all the phobias, two of the most common are the fears of falling and being naked in public.
Confront them both at this weekend at Nanaimo’s Naked Bungee Jump, where you'll fling your body down a 150-foot chasm, then rebound up to the top, alive.
The leap is for a good cause -- all proceeds go to the British Columbia Schizophrenia Society, which provides support for mentally ill people in the province, most of whom don't bungee jump while naked.
This is the seventh year in a row for the fundraiser, and last year they drew 150 people willing to go starkers for mental health.
Nanaimo, also known as the “Hub City,” is right in the center of Vancouver Island, so make a weekend of the trip and visit some of Vancouver’s hot restaurants and bars.
Sure, you can jump clothed, but it’ll cost you $100.
Your dignity can’t be worth that much.
