You can put away your tomato-and-raw-egg concoction forever. Hangover help is here.
The IV Doctor, a new at-home morning-after treatment service, is now soothing the headaches and cooling the veins of New Yorkers who had one (or five) too many the night before.
The service, modeled on similar ones in Vegas
, launched just before the New Year by a urologist and his team of nurses and technicians.
Make an appointment online, up to same-day. Then, the most you need to do is let in your trained and licensed medical professional, who will hook you up to your IV bag and speak soothing words.
Treatments last from 30 to 45 minutes for just yourself or a party of your sofa-bound friends, with your choice of plain "lactated ringers" — AKA IV fluids — and an addition one or more medications: anti-nausea, anti-heartburn, and anti-inflammatory.
The IV Doctor also claims that its treatment is effective for recovery from flu, stomach viruses, jet lag, exercise fatigue, and general exhaustion.
Yeah. That's what you can tell your boss when you call out sick. "Exercise fatigue."
