This Week

How did you brave last week's snowstorm? We certainly hope it was in a private rooftop igloo at a bar that normally provides you gratis Snuggies.

  • Eat Your Liquor: Lachlan Open now
Williamsburg's Gwynnett St. closed rather suddenly last month, but now has become a casual gastropub offering whiskey bread, country paté, and fried chicken sandwiches, plus a revamped selection of cocktails (pictured).
312 Graham Ave. (Ainslie St.), Williamsburg (347-889-7002)

  • The Shell With It: The Clam Open now
Clearly, this joint is all about seafood, but it shores up its menu of king crab, oysters Rockefeller, and clam fried rice with earthier fare including Long Island duck breast, roasted chicken, and a prime Angus strip loin with Yorkshire pudding.
420 Hudson St. (Leroy St.), West Village (212-242-7420)

  • What a Card: Gridiron Greats Open now
The Met pays tribute to the Super Bowl with a survey of vintage football cards printed between 1894 and 1959, depicting icons including Jim Thorpe, Frank Gifford, and Johnny Unitas (makes for good pre-Big Game conversation fodder).
Thru Mon Feb 10. Metropolitan Museum of Art, 1000 5th Ave. (E. 82nd St.), Upper East Side.

  • Wine and Dine and Wine Again: Pierre Loti Restaurant & Wine Bar Open now
The Pierre Loti mini-chain of Manhattan wine bars comes to Park Slope, serving glass upon glass of fine vino in addition to Mediterranean plates of labne, beef manti, and grilled quail, plus cheese and charcuterie.
78 5th Ave. (Prospect Pl.), Park Slope (347-889-6524)

  • Hey Y'All: The Art of Alabama Food Open now
Chelsea Market goes southern at this week-long festival before the Super Bowl, hosting a gallery-style exhibition devoted to the cuisine of Alabama, plus a private dinner on January 30 with some of the state's best chefs.
Thru Sun Feb 2. Chelsea Market, 75 9th Ave. (W. 15th St.), Chelsea.
