For the Bros
Whiskey's kind of obvious for your hard-drinking pals, innit? And, sure, you could go with a fine, 16-year Lagavulin, but have some local pride, for God's sake. Breuckelen Distilling
is one of a few up-and-coming small-batch producers in our neck of the woods — we're not counting the Hudson Valley — and its 77 whiskey is all-organic, New York-grown wheat, aged for only a few months in new American oak, from which it picks up incredible color and depth of flavor nonetheless. With notes of vanilla, maple, and citrus, it's an excellent sipper.
