This Week

Yeah, we don't remember life before Netflix, either. T-minus two months till House of Cards!

  • Not Tarantino: Grindhaus Open now

The streamlined menu at this small Brooklyn spot is divided into "Start," "Fill," and "Finish," featuring lamb neck-stuffed pasta, beef tartare with bone marrow, and scallops dressed with yogurt and maple.

275 Van Brunt St. (Pioneer St.), Red Hook (718-909-2881)

  • New Chinatown: Fung Tu Open now
The owner of Nom Wah Tea Parlor opened this contemporary restaurant serving updated fare including "Chinese sashimi," noodles with pumpkin (pictured), and fried pork chops with pickled cabbage.
22 Orchard St. (Canal St.), Chinatown (212-219-8785)

  • Hellenistic Kitchen: Snack EOS Open now
You already know and love Snack Taverna, so this offshoot will also please you with its skewers and meze, though things get a little more forward here with its pork souvlaki and ouzo cocktails.
    522 9th Ave. (W. 39th St.), Hell's Kitchen (646-964-4964)

  • On the Lamb: Xi'an Famous Foods Open now
Does the city need another Xi'an? Obviously, the answer is yes. The UWS can now have its fill of stewed pork burgers, spicy and tingly hand-ripped noodles, and various parts of the lamb (i.e., faces) you probably won't find anywhere else in this neighborhood.
2675 Broadway (W. 102nd St.), Upper West Side

  • Bigger and Better: Dover Open now
The team behind Battersby launched this larger but still-cozy space with a rotating menu that will include fare like pork belly with roasted fruit, duck with black kale, and a big beef ribeye with thick pont neuf fries and bone marrow.
412 Court St. (1st Pl.), Carroll Gardens (347-987-3545)
