This Week

Give us one good reason these chocolate-covered potato chips should be limited to women.

  • Royal Redux: King Cole Bar & Salon Open now

The famous bar at the St. Regis has undergone a makeover courtesy of John DeLucie, who brings grilled merguez, truffle mac & cheese, and six different kinds of Bloody Mary (which originated here).

    2 E. 55th St. (5th Ave.), Midtown (212-339-6857)

  • Bottled Up: Barawine Open now

This Harlem spot (pictured) serves wine, of course, and plenty of it — 25 wines by the glass and 200 bottles — along with beef carpaccio, roasted duck breast, and a classic hanger with fingerling potatoes.

    200 Lenox Ave. (120th St.), Harlem (646-756-4154)

  • Just Desserts: Patisserie Tomoko Open now

This new bakery and dessert bar brings the flavors of Japan to the techniques of Europe, offering a daily prix fixe dessert course as well as take-out options: mango or green tea macarons, mochi, kumquat financiers, and quiche.

568 Union Ave. (Richardson St.), Williamsburg (718-388-7121)

  • A Fine Brine: Pickle Shack Open now

It's a simple enough concept: Pickles meet beer at this collaboration between Brooklyn Brine and Dogfish Head, along with a selection of sandwiches to wash some of that salt off your palate.

    256 4th Ave. (Carrol St.), Gowanus (347-223-4345)

  • Just the Basics: Otto's Tacos Open now

Otto's keeps it simple with a no-frills menu of carne asada, carnitas, chicken, shrimp, and mushroom tacos — along with masa fries and churros — at this take-out taqueria.

    141 2nd Ave. (E. 9th St.), East Village (646-678-4018)
