High, But Not Dry

Climb on up to The Skylark, your new elevated cocktail den

Talk a walk with us, will you?
Well, more like a climb. We're headed 30 stories up to The Skylark, a new multi-level cocktail lounge with panoramic views that might make even The Donald jealous.
Upstairs is the rooftop, heated during these coming chilly months and decked out with comfy loungers. But on the main floor is the bar, with wraparound windows and tufted couches throughout.
"Inventive" hardly captures the spirit of the spirits here. Drinks are doctored up with saffron, charred rosemary, and ice made with grilled lemons. That ice chills the Fort Knox (bourbon, mezcal, yellow chartreuse, and honey syrup) and the dirtiest of dirty martinis, infused with Sriracha bitters and a judicious amount of brine.

To nibble: shishito peppers, beef sliders with onion jam and gorgonzola, tuna crudo on lavash, and some fancy "blanketed" franks, as though your Sabrett took a trip to Restoration Hardware.
Most important, however, are the mac and cheese cupcakes. They're topped with smoked tomato chutney and slivers of kale, and fit nicely into your mouth in quick succession.

Because mac and cheese cupcakes are best eaten at altitude.
