This Week

Full_lacenita

In case you missed it, a world twerking record was set in Herald Square last week. And yes, you read that correctly.

  • MePa Mexican: La Cenita Open now

With a former La Esquina chef running the kitchen, this new Latin-leaning shared-plates spot (pictured) offers crudos, lamb barbacoa, and King crab tacos.

    409 W. 14th St. (9th Ave.), Meatpacking District (646-289-3930)

  • Uptown Taste: The Cecil Open now

How do you describe the style of a place that serves oxtail dumplings dunked in curry sauce and piri piri prawns with yam flapjacks? Delicious, that's how.

    206 W. 118th St. (St. Nicholas Ave.), Harlem (212-866-1262)

  • Nice Facelift: DB Bistro Moderne Open now

This Daniel Boulud spot closed briefly and underwent an interior renovation (with a new bar and updated menu), but still features that classic DB burger.

    55 W. 44th St. (5th Ave.), Midtown (212-391-2400)

  • Whiskey Stop: Kingsland Open now

The hipsterfication of this stretch of Grand St. continues with this new whiskey-focused bar, which also serves blackened catfish sandwiches and hosts live music.

524 Grand St. (Union Ave.), Williamsburg (347-725-4386)

  • Atlantic Terminal: American Cut Open now

Marc Forgione's Atlantic City steakhouse now has a downtown annex. Cuts are offered either wet- or dry-aged, and the potatoes are cooked in aged beef fat.

363 Greenwich St. (Franklin St.), Tribeca (212-226-4736)
