Delancey's bar opens in South Beach's Townhouse Hotel

Things are more fun when you have to sneak in.

At Delancey’s, you walk around the back of the
Townhouse Hotel to enter the below-ground bar, like breaking into a friend’s basement for a house party.

A dark space of black flooring and walls, the decor is an eclectic mixture of animal heads, black-and-white striped couches, topiary, vintage books, and killer art by
Helmut Newton.

The DJ booth rules the center with chill music setting the tone for a relaxing spot to kick back and actually talk to people.

The brains behind Delancey’s are looking to add a special cocktail menu and to move their opening hours to accommodate the happy hour crowd.

Looks like this basement house party is getting fancier.
