Breaking Bourbon

Radio offers a fine starting point, or an advanced lesson, in Kentucky's finest

Maybe you're the kind of guy who's down with all the good things coming out of Kentucky.

But maybe you're the type who doesn't know his Maker's Mark from his Rodney's Rotgut.

No worries, because both of those gentlemen have something to learn at Bourbon & Beats

That's the Thursday night thing going down weekly at Radio, Miami's go-to cocktail bar for bourbon fans.

The event changes weekly, but there will always be a bourbon special, like $65 glasses of Pappy Van Winkle, maybe the world's finest aged spirit. Or straight-up Basil Hayden for five bucks. Or feels-like-spring mint juleps for $8. And there's always a stellar soundtrack for your sipping.

On any given day, you'll find a bourbon collection that spans everything from the mass=produced standys to small-batch bourbon-style whiskeys from the world over.

By the end, you'll be buzzed, yes.

But you'll also be the kind of guy who knows how to order a bourbon.
