Viva la Motherland

The Olympics are better when watched at these spots

Full_mondrian

Before the post-football-season blues kick in, consider this: The Winter Olympics start Thursday

Granted, figure skating isn't exactly Dolphins tailgating, but there's still snowboarding and ski jumping. And oh, Lolo Jones leaning into a bobsled.

Here then are a few fine spots to catch the Sochi magic.

THE BAYSIDE GAMES
It's hard to imagine a more baller spot to watch ski jumping than on the projector screen at the Mondrian South Beach Hotel's half-inside-half-out Sunset Lounge, shown in all its glory above.
Sunset Lounge, 1100 West Ave., South Beach (305-514-1500).

YOUR NEW LIVING ROOM
If you combined a killer movie theater with your dream living room, you'd have the Delano's private screening room — complete with servers coming around to refresh your martini.
1685 Collins Ave. South Beach (305-672-2000).

IF IT'S MORE ABOUT THE DRINKING
The laid-back Local House won't be the place to go shouting at the flatscreen about the luge. Instead, chill with a Sochi Sobe Cocktail of Russian vodka, mint, and Albariño Wine.
400 Ocean Dr, Miami Beach, FL 33139 (786-230-8396).

IF YOU BLEED GREEN AND YELLOW
A country known more for stellar World Cup play will be sending its largest delegation ever to the Winter Olympics, and the place to cheer on Brasilia is at Boteco. Bonus: It's also Carnival season.
916 NE 79th St., Upper East Side (305-757-7735).

ESPRIT DE FRANCAIS
Francophiles know the place to show true love of France's team is at the brasserie L’Entrecote de Paris, which will show the games on TVs in the bar and restaurant.
1053 SE 1st Ave, Brickell (305-755-9995).
