Back to Brickell

Just when you thought downtown was getting stale, a new chef comes to town

File this one in your "Best New Chefs in Miami" folder.

Frank Rog is the 29-year-old chef behind the
Viceroy Hotel's new and fairly incredible 15th & Vine.

Making your out-of-town model date happy, the menu is nearly all small plates, with meatballs in ginger sauce and crispy crab croquettes that melt when you bite them.

Making your post-holiday budget happy, it's also crazy affordable, as in $10 for flatbread with pears and blue cheese.

Sure, you’ve heard this before some Brickell hotel with a popular chef. But the slick space features 15th-floor bay views and outdoor garden seating poolside. And have you already forgotten? Crab croquettes!

Oh, and it's worth noting that 15th & Vine's guy served under
an Iron Chef back in his native Chicago.

Pedigree and pricing? Miami could use more of this.
