Think Art Basel and your first thought might be dudes in black turtlenecks debating the finer points of art with bogus Zurich accents.
Not this year. Because this year, Art Basel's about horsepower.
Ferrari will be taking over a Lincoln Road parking garage for a five-day run of the exhibition “Piston Head: Artists Engage the Automobile” featuring cars done up by graffiti masters including Kenny Scharf and Keith Haring (above).
These automobiles, representing decades of design, are works of art themselves. So you won’t find them in just any old parking lot. (And they probably have better alarm systems than your first car's Club.)
As if the art weren't badass enough on its own, Ferrari’s exhibit will take over the garage designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron. You know, the one where you normally drink mojitos upstairs at Juvia.
Leave it to artistic geniuses to marry drinking and driving safely.
