Urban Legends

Baru Urbano's world of trippy art and drinks, now in Midtown

Neon glow paint, animal-headed dudes in suits, freaky gargoyles, and a parodied Statue of Liberty holding a pineapple torch?

Nope, it's not the twilight zone you're in — and it's definitely not Mansion.

It's BARU Urbano, a funky art gallery/sleek bar & restaurant slated to open the first week of November inside the old Ricochet lounge.

With tricked-out graffiti, random laser printing, and old-school Spanish art exploding from the walls, this place is the new go-to for after-dinner drinks (think: Caipirinha pitchers and Presidente beer) with one trippy view.

But this wacky space isn't just something nice to look at when you're buzzed. Urbano also serves up legit Colombian cuisine, from their signature sampler (cheese empanadas and pepiada & shredded beef) to yucca croquettes to and ceviche chipotle.

Dinner with a view just took on a whole new meaning.
