While the rest of the east coast seeks refuge indoors come November, let's take a moment to savor the beauty that is autumn in Miami.

Sure, our leaves don't change color. But we know it's fall because we can finally step outside without becoming engulfed in a hotbox of humidity.

Get out of your summer heat hibernation by hitting up these top 3 fall festivals outdoors.

Palmetto Bay Food & Rock Festival
Listen to 5 legendary local rock bands including 3 Feet Closer and Riverdown, while alternating sips of bourbon-based cocktails from Tobacco Road with craft beers from Miami Brewing Company. Food trucks will also be on site, serving everything from bacon grilled cheese to crispy fish tacos.
Sat Nov 2 2p. Palmetto Bay Village Center, 18001 Old Cutler Rd., Palmetto Bay (305-753-5435). $15 and up here.

Florida Day of the Dead
Celebrate the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos with dancers decked out in colorful paint, artists creating pieces made of skulls, and street performers playing kazoos. Come nightfall, head to the afterparty at Green Room Nightclub, known for their green-lit bar and post-punk 80s music.
Sat Nov 2 2p. Museum of Art, 1 E Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale (954-525-5500). Free.

TigerDirect Tech Bash
Marlins Park will officially transform into a high-tech gadget domain with new virtual reality games and circuses, and 3D digital printing. While we’re ready to play Battlefield 4 at this tech fest, we’re also pretty stoked on the BMX/Sk8 demo built for the Bash.
Thu Nov 7 8p-midnight. Marlins Park, 501 Marlins Way, Little Havana (305-480-1300). Free.
