Top Gun

An Air Force-inspired shop touches down on the beach

Whatever they're doing, pilots just look cool.

Whatever they're wearing, Italians just look cool.

And a fleet of Italian pilots? We might even let our sister date one. Might.

Inspired by the Italian Air Force, clothier Aeronautica Militare is opening its first U.S. boutique on the gritty Washington Avenue streets.

This baby is packed with classic authentic insignia-encrusted pieces made up of more than just funky retro aviators, thanks to a licensing agreement the owner scored with the military. Behold pristine button-downs, leather suit-ups, and Dr. Martens-style boots that would make even old time airman Howard Hughes proud.

Pass the metal shelving units and fighter jet-inspired sculptures and there's enough military-patched bomber jackets and silk-screened stenciled polos to place your next Top Gun Halloween costume into regular rotation.

Aim high friends. Aim very high.
