Earth, Wind, and Water

Your date with flipping dolphins, baby sea turtles, and soaring seagulls

Sure, you could use your sunglasses to blind out the electric light show while fist-pumping at LIV.

But it's summer, and it's time to make those shades do some real work.

Throw on a pair of those Offshoot Polarized Oakleys and hit up our top 3 summer sporting adventures.

Rock the Boat: Paddle Through Biscayne
You’ve driven past it too many times to count. Now it's time to stop and get to know it. Rent a canoe or kayak to explore Biscayne Bay, where you'll take off from one of the canoe ramps and maneuver through thick mangrove forests while keeping an eye out for flipping dolphins and monster manatees.
Sun-Sat 8a to sundown. Oleta State River Park, 3400 NE 163rd St., North Miami (305-919-1846). $4-6 park entry.

Midnight Magic: Sea Turtle Walks
Impress a date with a never-fail romantic evening exploring Fort Lauderdale Beach in the dark. Scour the sand with your girl under your arm while searching for the 300-pound Loggerhead, or lure your date to a nest filled with baby turtles to really win her over. Not that you're making any promises.
Tonight 9p-1a. Thru July. Various dates here. Museum of Discovery and Science, 401 SW Second St., Fort Lauderdale (954-713-0930). $18-20.

Free Falling: Skydive Miami
You're officially out of excuses — it's time to jump out of a plane. Suit up and drop from 8,000 feet, or take the extra plunge by opting for the 13,500-foot drop. Either way, don’t forget to order the photo to commemorate the look of terror on your face. Priceless.
Every day except Tuesday. Skydive Miami, 28730 SW 217 Ave., Homestead (305-759-3483). $199-249; call to RSVP.
