Brickell's Art Walk skips studios in favor of bars

We guarantee you one thing: Memorial Day weekend will feel too short.

The good news is, that first Tuesday back doesn't have to feel like 1,000 Mondays put together. In fact, thanks to the Brickell Art Walk, every last Tuesday of the month is going to feel a lot like Friday.

Instead of maneuvering in and out of different art studios like in Wynwood's fest, Brickell has its own style, with local bars hosting artwork from amateur and well-established contemporary artists.

Gabriel Gimenez has been known to show off his bright cartoon illustrations at BARU (including his quirky sketch of Brickell's streets made specifically for the walk), while Chris Riggs' monster canvases have been seen at Oceanaire in the past.

And while Wynwood might have bongo drums and hula hoop dancers, this art walk pumps out alternative reggae sounds from The Personal Legend and be-boppin' remixes from Plan Beats.

Didn't expect that on a Tuesday, did you?
