Up to Date

Feeding her foie gras inside a liquor store

Sure, she agreed to the first date at Juvia. The second dinner at Escopazzo wasn't hard to score, either.

Now it's time for the ever-important third date. Time to upgrade your date night game plan.

Here are three great new ideas to woo her at the beach.

This secluded garden is known for its mini movie theater and starlit dining room, but now it's all about sipping on fancy cocktails (Elderflower champagne and bourbon-infused Ogden Ave) at the sexy revamped bar. The intimate candlelit glass-walled bar will impress your date, but feeding her killer plates of grilled octopus leaf wraps and truffle mac & cheese will really send the night over the top.

WD 555
With a brand new name, monster renovation, and fancy French menu, this wine shop is anything but a place to just pick up a new bottle of 2005 Chateau Vieux Meillac Bordeaux. Get cozy at the bar under the dim lighting while sipping on Leoube French Rose or whisk her to the outdoor terrace, sharing plates of tuna tartare with wasabi dust, escargot in a garlic butter sauce, and a specially made foie gras.

Dore South Beach
There's a little something for everyone inside this recently opened showy-restaurant-turned-playful-lounge. Sure, bikini-baring women cascading in between tables will catch the eye, but the tapas menu will hold it thanks to fresh oysters, filet mignon, and poached pear with vanilla ice cream doused in chocolate sauce for dessert. After which, yes, your eyes are free to roam once again.
