Cinco de Drinko

Tequila, tacos, and tiny wrestlers this Cinco de Mayo

Taco Bell is not an acceptable way to celebrate a massive Mexican victory over the French.

Instead, grow a hipster stache and get down with your inner Pancho Villa at any of these tequila-infused events this Cinco de Mayo.

Viva Mexico: Brickell Fest
Head over for this monster block party spectacle in Mary Brickell Village for the best that Mexican culture has to offer. Beyond the expected salted rim margaritas and Mexican street bands, there will be mini wrestlers battling it out and a mechanical bull to get your ride on.
Sun May 5. Brickell Village, 1001 S. Miami Ave., Brickell. $28 and up here.

Casa de Tequila: Rocco’s Tacos
Slap on your sombrero and head up north to this taco shack that'll be shelling out hours of free tequila pourings alongside a wacky, but slightly impressive, bar-top-dancing owner. Try out over 225 different kinds of the Mexican juice while pounding through their notorious soft flour tacos with slow roasted pork.
Sun May 5 Noon. Rocco’s Tacos, 1313 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. (954-524-9550). No cover.

Muy Authentico: Cancun Grill
Miami might be known for its Cuban heritage, but this spot is homegrown Mexican. Down Michelada Mexican beer along with corn tortilla quesadillas while the live mariachi band belts out authentic tunes that'll have you dancing with that la bonita down the bar.
Sun May 5 2p-2a. Cancun Grill, 15406 NW 77th Ct., Miami Lakes. (305-826-8571). $10 entrance.
