Mad World

Ride weird on the Alice in Wynwoodland interactive theatre bike ride

Full_alice

You don't need a rabbit hole to stumble onto a mystical world of odd and peculiar creatures. That's what Washington Avenue in South Beach is for.

See the offbeat off the beach by going downtown for the Alice in Wynwoodland trippy interactive bike ride. It's the kind of fairy tale only Miami could craft.

Top hat-sporting, wacky smiling, offbeat Mad Hatters, Cheshire Cats, and several Alices bike down the streets in costume from Arsht Metromover Station (which has been transformed into a vast mystical castle) toward Wynwood.

While the White Rabbit and Blue Caterpillar perform full-on offbeat skits in the streets, live music is performed at hidden pit stops before the caravan ultimately leads the entire bike crew to the funky speakeasy/wine house Lagniappe in Midtown.

It's here in this afterparty scene where the Alice in Wonderland costume contest takes place.

We suggest you peruse the filmography of Johnny Depp for inspiration.
