We've got yoga-and-whiskey bars. We've got boobs-and-buffet clubs.
One thing New York doesn't have: a bar with a ski slope inside.
Not that the new powder-themed Hudson Lodge will change that, but it's about as close as we'll get to an indoor Aspen in Manhattan.
Nestled inside a heated, 50-foot-tall tent at the Hudson Hotel, the Lodge is your new go-to winter spot for a bit of belly-warming booze and sweet snacking.
Start smartly with the Hot Buttered Rum Toddy or a Caramel Apple Cider (fortified with reposado tequila) to get the blood back into your cold-bitten fingers. Then balance out with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot.
About that bottle, it's served in arctic snow.
Speaking of the white stuff, the Lodge pumps in its own nightly snowfall to give the joint that extra wintry feel.
After your rounds of hot and cold, move on to some pre-dinner grazing over a bowl of chipotle brisket chile with a side of a s'more grilled cheese, stuffed with Nutella, gruyère, and maple syrup. Add on a spread of Mexican hot chocolate and salted caramel fondue.
Now we just need to find you a hot tub...
