In China, 2014 is the year of the horse.
In Vegas, 2014 is the year of rocking out in a 1930s-style Eastern European glass factory.
Such is the inspiration behind the Cosmopolitan’s new concert venue The Chelsea, opening Sunday, December 29 with an appearance from Bruno Mars.
The sleek 3,000-capacity theater is an experience in itself with custom glass chandeliers, a vintage speakeasy-style lobby bar, and a decorative grand staircase leading up to velvet-accented private VIP opera boxes.
So yeah, it's pretty nice.
Taking a more “avant-garde” approach to concerts, the 40,000-square-foot palace of gold and bronze is designed for you to get a more intimate look at acts ranging from indie hip hopster Childish Gambino to experimental electronic freakshows Empire of the Sun.
Also be on the lookout for conventions and sporting events at the new bi-level space, conveniently located within stumbling distance of the casino.
And if you still don’t have New Year’s Eve plans, Bruno Mars is bringing the confetti.
