Typically, the scariest thing in Vegas is a toss-up between your hotel bill and seeing who wakes up next to you in the morning.
But this Halloween, prepare your eyes for sights even scarier with a trip to one of Vegas’ top haunted houses.
Fenced In: Freakling Brothers Trilogy of Terror
As the only R-rated haunted house in Nevada, this sadistic experiment in interactive terror lets you face the reality of your own death through three sprawling haunted chambers that includes an actual electric fence. Greatest show on earth? Not quite. But quite possibly the scariest.
Opens Fri Oct 4. AMC Theatre, 2321 N. Rainbow Blvd., Summerlin (702-362-3327). $12 and up.
Insane Clown Posse: Fright Dome at Circus Circus
Scared of clowns? How about killer 3D clowns? Rated one of the scariest in the country, this massive haunted complex offers six new haunted houses, four “scare zones,” and enough blood to resurrect Jaws from his grave. Take a VIP private tour if you’d rather not scream like a little girl in front of strangers.
Opens Thu Oct 3. Adventuredome at Circus Circus, 2880 Las Vegas Blvd. S., The Strip (702-794-3912). $20 and up here.
Crazy Town: Asylum & Hotel Fear at Meadows Mall
Tour an electro shock room and a psychedelic vortex straight out of an A Clockwork Orange nightmare for a double dose of graphic violence. Explore the chainsaws and loose brains of the insane asylum before making your way to a haunted hotel with a chain-link morgue that will have you screaming for the concierge.
