Spring Awakening

Top pool party openings this spring

Full_chicks

Break out the booze, beats, and bikinis. It's Vegas pool party season.

While a few of the usual suspects have already opened, we’re keeping our eyes on the eye-popping future with spring's top openings.

Marquee Day Club (pictured)
While Rehab and Wet Republic snag all the headlines, Marquee snags the DJs, including a summer residency from Kaskade kicking off May 5. In the meantime, listen to Avicii (April 27) and Sander Van Doorn (April 18) from your three-story bungalow loft or full-size day beds that are literally in the pool. Keidy and Gareth Emery kick off the season April 5 with an all-day/all-night rager complete with inflatable toys and — we assume — plenty of inflated bikini tops.
Opens Fri Apr 5. At The Cosmopolitan, 3708 Las Vegas Blvd. S., The Strip (702-333-9000).

Sapphire Pool & Day Club
Yes, Vegas’ biggest strip club is getting a pool. And no, we don’t know what took them so long. While details are as skimpy as the threads worn by its employees, you can expect your fair share of peelers, Go-Go dancers, models, and Strip LV Magazine cover stars. With a stripper pole waterfall in a pool lined with daybeds, it’ll be like moving the strip club outdoors. Stop by opening day to see a local DJ battle, with the winner earning a residency at the club.
Opens Fri May 3. At Sapphire, 3025 Industrial Road, Off-Strip (702-796-6000).

DAYLIGHT Beach Club
The Vegas pool party scene gets a massive new addition this Memorial Day, when Mandalay Bay opens this sprawling tropical oasis modeled after the beaches of Ibiza. A huge vine- and metal-adorned stage will be framed by LED screens and will host big-name DJs including Skrillex, Axwell, and Baauer. Meanwhile, you’ll sip Dom Perignon-infused white sangria on one of 70 daybeds (or in one of 23 cabanas) while noshing on maki rolls and tuna sashimi in the desert sun.
Opens Sat May 25. At Mandalay Bay, 3950 S. Las Vegas Blvd, The Strip (702-632-7777).
