The time for passive observance is over. It’s time to get in the act.
That’s the idea behind the Palazzo’s racy new club, The Act, a performance-based den of debauchery not for the faint of heart.
Combining risqué vaudeville-style theater with upscale nightlife, you can party backstage with the performers and get involved via audience participation on stage during dark, sexually charged acts.
Opened by Simon Hammerstein of infamous NYC/London club The Box, The Act hosts strange delights including leather-clad pogo dancers, balloon-headed strippers, and pig-masked daredevils performing burlesque with fire.
Merging the designs of an Italian opera house and turn-of-the-century speakeasy, the dark, whimsical décor is designed to keep you off balance and unsure of what’s coming next (hint: the soft opening featured wrestlers atop a 20-foot canopy bed).
Order bottle service in balcony boxes or stage-side banquettes as the avant garde “Hammerstein Beauties” roam about five bars within this maze-like, bi-level amusement park for an X-rated Cirque du Soleil acid trip.
Oh, and there’s no bathrooms. Those have been renamed “sex rooms.”
Try not to act surprised.
