Ditmas’s menu gives fine dining a kosher twist

Want to settle for the same old comfort food? Go ahead and scarf down some mac 'n' cheese and a few hot dogs. 

 
Want to witness an edible miracle? Take a trip to the fully kosher Ditmas Kitchen and Cocktails, where Top Chef alum Alex Reznick is doing the impossible: bringing you high-end comfort food without using pork, shellfish, or dairy. 
 
His first solo spot is serving up spaghetti pomodoro, steak tartare, and white fish rillettes (on an everything bagel, natch) — all certified kosher and supervised by the kitchen’s resident rabbi. 
 
A seat at the bar will get you gourmet snacks like corned beef tongue and duck confit pierogies, but you’re going to want to save room for what happens in the dining room. 
 
At huge communal tables, you and your fellow pork-free foodies will feast on agnolotti with Tahitian squash and bone marrow, duck consommé with matzo balls, and short rib with butternut polenta.
 
Plus, enough steak options (seven, to be exact) to make you forget you ever craved a piece of bacon.
