One by one, beers are leaving their usual pint form and turning up in martini glasses.

Here are seven local libations around town that envision Homer Simpson, James Bond and Marie Antoinette sharing a round. 

Del Monte Speakeasy: Blazing Saddle
The Habanero-infused reposado tequila, Belgian ale, and smoked sea salt bring the fire while kisses of housemade sour cherry syrup and lime juice keep you on your proverbial steed.

Haven Gastropub: HopCentric
Bärenjäger means “bear hunter” in German, and when this honey liqueur is mixed with Craft single IPA and grapefruit-infused London Dry Gin, “beer whisperer” is more like it.

AMMO: Belgium Sunrise
Framboise lambic (raspberry-flavored beer) is an army of awesome on its own, but AMMO adds Allagash white ale and frambeau liquor to give it more, well, you know.

Sadie: Gran Prix
To misquote Cake, it’s chrysanthemum-infused Beefeater Gin and Racer 5 IPA that are going the distance. Shake with honey syrup and fresh lemon juice and you’ve got a checkered flag drop.

The Big Bar: Gin & Chronic
This bar infuses hops with Plymouth Gin, then splashes it with tonic, lime juice and soda water. Snoop Dogg would be proud.

1886 Bar at The Raymond: The Wild Orchid
Mixologist Brady Weise makes this drink, named after an erotic 80’s movie set in Rio, with Torontel Pisco, Vergano Bianco Vermouth, Grand Marnier and Hefeweizen. For extra cinematic sizzle, it’s served up with a wild orchid garnish (pictured).

Rosa Mexicano: El Betabel
Beer and… beet juice? This bittersweet combo is mixed with the tartness of lime juice and spice of Cholula. And to make it a twofer, their La Sangrita mingles beer with the house sangrita, a blend of several fruit juices including orange and tomato.
