Beer & Far

Prepare your palate for ¡Ay Dios Amigos! at Goodfriend

Tequila often leads to big surprises nine months later.

And this Sunday is the due date for a set of very special quadruplets during ¡Ay Dios Amigos!, a world premiere beer event at Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House.

Flash back about 270 days when Lakewood Brewing Co and Puro Verde Tequila hooked up for an epic one-night stand. That's when four brews began aging in tequila barrels for nine magical months.

One barrel each of four one-of-a-kind tequila-aged beers will be available: Magdalena, a La Dame du Lac Biere de Garde; Alejandra, a La Dame du Lac accented with fresh prickly pear; Esteban, a Vienna-style lager; and Francisco, a Vienna-style lager spiced up with ancho chiles.

Try each with a Puro Verde Tequila pairing because, quite frankly, they were meant for each other.

Pyscho Pony, The Hazardous Dukes, and Hell Texas will perform live throughout the day.

If only every Sip 'n' See featured rock bands, burgers, and tequila-aged beer.
