Tassel Time

Flash back to 1964 at the screening of Naughty Dallas

Full_naughtydallas

Some of the prettiest girls come from Big D.

Says so right there in the
movie trailer for Naughty Dallas, screening at tomorrow's once-monthly Trashy Tuesdays at the Texas Theatre.

While your fellow citizens gear up for a different kind of JFK commemoration, you can watch this hilariously bad B-movie in the actual theater where Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested.

On-screen, Oswald killer Jack Ruby's Carousel Club serves as the setting where a small town girl hopes to make it in the city as an exotic.

That's a stripper, in case you were wondering.

The movie's great not just because it's awful, but because it's a 50-year-old time capsule of Dallas and features some of its real citizens, including
Jada, one of the Carousel's most famous dancers who worked directly with Jack Ruby.

Just like at any good 1960s strip club, you can enjoy a cocktail while you watch.

What's different is that admission is free. And the bartender's the only one you have to tip.
